The Manifold Wisdom of God – Part 1
By Pastor Adama Segbedji | Solution Chapel International, Crawley – Home of Signs, Wonders & Miracles
Introduction
On Sunday, Pastor Adama Segbedji began a profound new series titled “The Manifold Wisdom of God.”
Reading from Ephesians 3:10, he shared how God’s eternal purpose is for the Church to display His manifold wisdom to principalities and powers in heavenly places.
This message unveils what divine wisdom truly is and how every believer can walk in it daily.
Scripture Foundation
Ephesians 3:10 – “To the intent that now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places.”
The term manifold means many-sided, multifaceted, or varied.
Pastor Adama explained that God’s wisdom is unlimited, dynamic, and supernatural — revealing itself in countless ways to bring life out of death, and light out of darkness.
Understanding the Manifold Wisdom of God
The Manifold Wisdom of God is the many-sided display of God’s creative intelligence — His ability to produce divine solutions where human logic fails.
Through this wisdom, God turns weakness into strength and confusion into clarity.
It is through the Church, not angels, that God has chosen to reveal His wisdom on earth.
“The Church is not a building — you and I are the Church. God wants to display His manifold wisdom through you.” — Pastor Adama Segbedji
What Is Wisdom?
Pastor Adama defined wisdom as:
“The relevant and practical application of the Word of God.”
Wisdom is knowing what to do and doing it at the right time. It’s the divine ability to apply knowledge correctly in every situation.
Three Ways to Access God’s Wisdom
1 Ask God for Wisdom in Faith
James 1:5 – “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God…”
Wisdom must be asked for in faith. When you pray for wisdom, it comes in spirit form, so don’t doubt when you don’t see immediate results — receive it by faith.
2 Walk in Reverence for God
Proverbs 9:10 – “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.”
Reverence means deep honor and awe. Anything you don’t honor cannot bless you. When you live in reverence toward God, His wisdom begins to flow through your life.
3 Develop Intimacy with the Holy Spirit
1 Corinthians 2:9–11 – “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard… but God has revealed them to us through His Spirit.”
The Holy Spirit reveals deep secrets to those who love Him. The closer you walk with Him, the greater your access to divine understanding.
Key Illustrations from the Message
The Sponge Analogy:
Just like a sponge soaked in soapy water releases soap when squeezed, a believer soaked in God’s Word releases wisdom when life’s pressures come.
Sleeping in the Storm:
Pastor Adama humorously compared Jesus sleeping in the storm to resting in wisdom:
“The dead don’t snore — if you’re snoring, you’re alive! Rest in God.”
Christ – The Power and Wisdom of God:
1 Corinthians 1:24 – “Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.”
The Cross — once a symbol of shame — became God’s greatest demonstration of wisdom and power.
How God Reveals His Wisdom
1 Through the Church – We are God’s living testimony to the world, revealing His wisdom through our conduct, excellence, and faith.
2 Through Christ – The ultimate revelation of God’s wisdom is found in Jesus, who turned death into eternal life through the Cross.
The Cost of Wisdom
Proverbs 23:23 – “Buy the truth, and sell it not.”
Wisdom requires investment. It will cost you comfort, convenience, and sometimes company.
Some relationships are too noisy to hear God clearly — choose wisdom over popularity.
“Your Isaac is coming; don’t rush for Ishmael. Wait for God’s wisdom.” — Pastor Adama Segbedji
Final Exhortation
As the message concluded, the congregation prayed, asking God to pour out His manifold wisdom.
Pastor Adama reminded everyone that wisdom is the principal thing — and encouraged everyone to revisit the message online to absorb every layer of revelation.
“Go back and listen again. You may have only heard 10% today. As you replay it, wisdom will begin to flow through you.” — Pastor Adama Segbedji
Reflection
This teaching is more than a sermon; it’s a divine invitation to walk with God in understanding.
Through faith, reverence, and intimacy with the Holy Spirit, every believer can become a vessel that displays God’s manifold wisdom in business, family, ministry, and life.
