Requirements for Welfare Support for Members of the Community
Solution Chapel International – Community Welfare Guidelines
To ensure that Welfare Support is given in a fair, structured, and impactful manner, all applicants must meet the following requirements:
1. Eligibility Criteria

Must be a registered and active member of Solution Chapel International for at least 6 continuous months.

Must be regularly attending services, events, or serving in a church department.

Welfare support is available only to members in genuine and verifiable need, such as:

Bereavement or funeral assistance
-
Unemployment or redundancy
-
Health/medical emergencies
-
Sudden housing or utility crisis
-
Food insecurity or hardship
-
2. Required Documentation
All applicants must submit the following:

Welfare Support Application Form (fully completed)

Proof of hardship (e.g., job termination letter, medical report, eviction letter, bills)
-
Recent bank statement (last 30 days) or income evidence
-
Referral or recommendation from a Pastor, Department Head, or Cell Group Leader
-
Proof of ID and current contact details
3. Forms of Support Available
Depending on the case and available resources, support may include:

Food parcels or grocery vouchers
-
Transport or travel assistance
-
Help with school items (uniforms, supplies, etc.)

One-time financial assistance (within set limits)
-
Hospital visit support or short-term medical assistance
All support is subject to assessment and the church’s welfare fund availability.
4. Assessment & Review Process

Applications will be reviewed by the Welfare Committee within 5–10 working days

Follow-up interviews, phone checks, or home visits may be conducted for verification

Decisions are made prayerfully, in confidentiality, and with compassion
5. Conditions & Limitations
-
Support is not guaranteed and will not be given more than once every 6 months per individual or family (except for extreme cases)
-
Dishonesty or false declarations will lead to immediate disqualification
-
Welfare support does not cover luxury purchases, business losses, or preventable debts
-
Repeated applications without effort to change circumstances may be declined
-
Committee decisions are final, though appeals may be submitted in writing
6. Ongoing Follow-Up
Recipients of support may be encouraged to:

Join or remain active in cell groups, prayer meetings, and midweek services
-
Attend financial stewardship or life skills sessions if applicable
-
Share a short written testimony (optional) to encourage others
