How deeply committed are we to the things of God?
The fisherman needs to launch out into the deep in order to catch a multitude of fishes as being in the shallow waters will not result in any substantial catch. In the same vein, we cannot be shallow with the things of God if we want to eat of big or grand things from His table. The word of God tells us in Psalm 42:7 that “deep calls unto deep”, so the size or depth of our commitment determines how filled we will be from His tabel..
How deep does God deal with us?
The bible tells us in John 3:16 how God so loved the world, that He GAVE His ONLY son for us; even while we yet sinners – that is the depth of God’s love for all His children. In order to walk deep with God, you need to have a firm foundation, deep roots; and how do we achieve this? We must COME to Him, HEAR His words and DO His words – Luke 6:46-49. The one thing that is guaranteed, is that the floods will surely come, however, will you be prepared? When building those deep roots, a lot about your life will look unattractive and messy, but remain focused and commited to the things of God. Never mind what people may say during these times, but be encouraged in the Lord – Deuteronomy 31:6 and know that deep calls unto deep.
How can we know the deep things of God?
1 Corinthians 2:9-12 The Spirit of God is the ONLY way we can know the deep things of God; as the Spirit of God searches all things, indeed all deep things and makes known to God’s children, the things freely given to us by God – Romans 8:14. In order to make an indelible mark in this world, we must be prepared to launch out into the deep. We have played in the shallow waters for too long, it is time to make a significant impact by launching out into the deep, to see the Glory of God – Exodus 33:18
